Biographical Information
A native of Germany, I came to the United States in the 1960’s. I have have four grown children. My academic background is in medieval literature: I received a PhD in that field from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee.
As part of my mid-life crisis and transition I underwent a Jungian analysis, returned to Europe and trained as a Jungian analyst in Zurich, Switzerland. My special interest is in myths and fairy tales. It fascinates me how this archetypal material plays itself out, now, centuries later, in everyday life in our twenty-first century.
I am a senior Jungian analyst, and as such I am involved in the training of future Jungian analysts both in the USA (New Orleans and Memphis/Atlanta) as well as abroad (Zurich, Switzerland). I really enjoy giving lectures and conducting workshops and retreats, looking for and discovering openings to our own healing unconscious. I have a private practice in Birmingham, Alabama.
